Discovery Fire Sprinklers has taken delivery of the first Snapdrill system to be deployed in the UK, marking another step forward in its ongoing investment in quality, efficiency and technical capability across live projects. The handover followed a visit from the Snapdrill team, all the way from Norway, who joined DFS on site for dedicated training and a live demonstration, giving engineers the opportunity to work directly with the system and build confidence in the Snapdrill workflow from day one.
The session focused on hands-on use, allowing the team to test the equipment themselves and see how Snapdrill supports consistent, accurate drilling where multiple mechanical tees are required. Alongside the main system training, DFS also received an early demonstration of Snapdrill’s upcoming SnapGroove machine, offering a preview of future pipe grooving technology currently in development.

Snapdrill identified DFS as a strong fit for the introduction of the system into the UK market, recognising the company’s professional approach and forward-thinking attitude to adopting new technology. The Snapdrill system will now be used on upcoming DFS projects where repeatability, precision and time savings on site are critical, helping maintain high installation standards while improving overall efficiency.
The visit reflects a shared focus on innovation and continuous improvement, with both teams exchanging insight on site practice, workflow optimisation and future applications. With the Snapdrill system now in place, Discovery Fire Sprinklers continues to strengthen its technical toolkit as project workloads increase and delivery programmes accelerate across Scotland.
