Key Details
The Ellon Family Centre project is a multi-purpose civic hub being developed on the former Ellon Academy site on Bridge Street, Ellon, Aberdeenshire. The £11.4 million project will include a family resource centre, a library, and a council office. The family resource centre will feature its own entrance and an enclosed outdoor play area, while the main public entrance will lead to a customer service point and library. The office section will house a ceremony room, a registrar’s office, and flexible meeting rooms. The building is designed to achieve net-zero operational standards, incorporating features such as photovoltaic panels, heat pumps, and heat recovery ventilation.
