At 35–39 Lanark Road in Edinburgh, Trident Building Consultancy appointed Discovery Fire Sprinklers to provide specialist design consultancy and fire protection services for a pioneering 134-room purpose-built student accommodation development. Recognised as the first modular PBSA project of its kind in the UK, the accommodation pods were manufactured in Malaysia before being assembled on site. DFS completed the detailed sprinkler system design, coordinated the integration of the off-site manufactured rooms, installed the water supplies and communal steel distribution mains, and delivered the final connections to all accommodation units. The project also included independent third-party certification, ensuring a fully compliant and robust fire protection solution throughout the development.
