Discovery Fire Sprinklers has secured a new contract to deliver a full fire-protection upgrade at a CAT3 care home, following an initial assessment in which our team identified several issues that required a compliant and more robust system design.
That early insight provided the client with a clear route to full compliance and led to DFS being appointed to develop and install the correct solution.
The project will see the introduction of a third-party certified sprinkler system with a proven record of reliability and performance. As part of the installation, the system will include fully testable pumps, allowing DFS to demonstrate that all equipment meets the required duty and performance standards. An independent water supply will also be provided, ensuring the correct volume and pressure are always available to protect the building effectively.
Complete coverage will be delivered throughout the property, providing a minimum of thirty minutes of sprinkler protection. This level of resilience is vital in a care environment, offering essential time for the safe evacuation of elderly and vulnerable residents.
