Discovery Fire Sprinklers has been awarded the contract to design, supply, install and certify the active fire protection systems at the new purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) being developed on the site of the former North College.
The project will see the transformation of the former educational site into modern student living, featuring an industrial interior finish throughout. DFS will deliver a BS 9251:2021 Category 3 automatic sprinkler system complete with boosted water supplies, ensuring full compliance with the latest fire safety standards and comprehensive protection across all residential areas.
In addition, the company will install two BS 9990:2015-compliant dry riser systems, providing critical firefighting access and resilience across the multi-storey development.
This latest award reflects DFS’s continued success in securing high-profile fire protection contracts within the growing PBSA sector, reinforcing its reputation for delivering technically advanced, fully certified life safety systems to the highest standards.
