Discovery Fire Sprinklers is proud to announce the successful completion of fire protection works at the new Plot 6 mixed-use development in Dundee, a key milestone in the transformation of the city’s waterfront district.
Working on behalf of long-term client JGM, Discovery Fire Sprinklers designed and installed a BS EN 12845:2015-compliant OH1 life safety sprinkler system covering six storeys of modern office and retail space. The system includes a 70,000-litre water storage tank, and a Duty / Standby pump set configuration comprising diesel, electric, and jockey units – all purpose-built to ensure long-term operational resilience and regulatory compliance.
Discovery Fire Sprinkler’s James Bryceland commented on the completion of Plot 6 Dundee, “This is definitely the most challenging project we’ve been involved in the last couple of years, from 3D design stage throughout the installation and pulling it together in time for partial Completion. With all services on show everything has got to look good as the new tenants will see this all the time. As part of the turnkey package, Discovery Fire Sprinklers also delivered dry risers through the building’s vertical core, ensuring firefighting readiness at every level. Designed, installed and commissioned in-house, the system provides continuous, code-compliant protection for staff, customers, and facilities throughout the building.
