Discovery Fire Sprinklers was appointed by AEM to deliver the full design, installation, and certification of the active fire protection systems for BAE Systems’ new Project Spartan development at Devonshire Dock Quay in Barrow-in-Furness.
The state-of-the-art Nuclear Berth Support (NBS) building forms part of BAE’s long-term investment in the UK’s Dreadnought submarine programme, providing advanced research, engineering, and training facilities for up to 750 employees.
DFS designed and installed a fully compliant NFPA 13 OH3 commercial sprinkler system, ensuring comprehensive protection throughout the multi-use facility. The project highlights DFS’s capability to deliver high-specification fire protection solutions for complex, safety-critical environments within the defence and engineering sectors.
